John Lennon Stamps Available via US Postal Service

The newest stamps in the Music Icons series honor singer and songwriter John Lennon (1940-1980), a rock-and-roll hero successful both as a founding member of the Beatles and as a solo artist. Still quite beloved around the world Lennon’s music remains an anchor of radio stations through out the USA and the world. John Lennon continues to speak for truth and peace.

The stamp design features a photograph of Lennon snapped by noted rock-and-roll photographer in August 1974, Bob Gruen.  During the photo session for Lennon’s 1974 album Walls and Bridges. For the stamps, the original black-and-white image has been treated in gradations of color.

Live Stream: Paul McCartney in NYC

Paul McCartney will celebrate the release of his seventeenth solo album Egypt Station with a “secret concert” in New York City on September 7. The venue for the Paul McCartney secret Concert has not been revealed but… you can get official Paul McCartney MetroCards at NYC’s Grand Central Station so that might be a good guess on where you can see the concert live in person. If you are tuning in to the web cast, it starts at 8:00 pm.

Paul McCartney livestreaming secret NYC show, confirms Lennon broke up the Beatles & has an official MetroCard

Paul McCartney will celebrate this Friday’s release of his seventeenth solo album Egypt Station with a “secret concert” in New York City.  Paul McCartney is no stranger to embracing technology and you’re about to get further proof of it. To celebrate, the iconic musician has decided this performance will be webcast in real time for free on McCartney’s YouTube channel.
