This June, Pennsylvania’s Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, Pennsylvania will host Unlimited Devotion: A Celebration Of The Grateful Dead with the 2018 two-day fundraiser concert scheduled for June 8 and 9. The venue has unveiled the lineup for the event, which benefits Camp Winnarainbow and the Rex Foundation and honoring the latter’s founder, activist, entertainer counter-culture icon Wavy Gravy. Celebrating his birthday, Wavy Gravy will be the guest of honor for the weekend.
The event will feature offerings from a slew of notable musicians. The festival starts on Friday, June 8 with performances from guitarist Tom Hamilton and Holly Bowling & Friends as well as The Wavy All-Stars and Everyone Orchestra. Guitarists John Kadlecik and Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, bassist Reed Mathis, Ratdog/Primus drummer Jay Lane and vocalist Hayley Jane will team as The Wavy All-Stars. Matt Butler will lead guitarists Steve Kimock and Eric Krasno, keyboardist Todd Stoops, vocalist/trombonist Natalie Cressman, drummer John Kimock, banjo wiz Pappy Biondo, bassist Robin Sylvester and Hayley Jane for the Everyone Orchestra set.
On Saturday early evening, the music will include sets from the Rooster Conspiracy, Jeff Austin Band and The Gravy All-Stars. Rooster Conspiracy features Eric Krasno, Todd Stoops, Reed Mathis and Jay Lane, while the Jeff Austin Band will be joined by special guests Pappy Biondo and Hayley Jane. The Gravy All-Stars lineup will consist of Steve Kimock, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Robin Sylvester, Jeff Austin, Natalie Cressman, Matt Butler, John Kimock and PappyBiondo. Splintered Sunlight will close the event with a late night set.
Unlimited Devotion will also include a Grateful Dead art exhibit, a brunch with music from Steve Kimock and a panel featuring a Q&A with Wavy Gravy and special guests.Ticketholders can attend a “Grateful Brunch” on Saturday afternoon with a performance from Steve Kimock and others to be announced. The “Grateful Brunch” will also feature a “Ramble On Panel” featuring a conversation and Q&A with Wavy Gravy. Scott Shapiro’s collection of more than 75 framed and mint condition pieces of Grateful Dead artwork will be on display.
