Dead & Company will return to Riviera Maya, in Mexico’s Yucatan Penisula, at the beginning of 2019, for the second annual Playing In The Sand destination event. CID Presents and Dead & Company’s all-inclusive Caribbean concert vacation will take place January 17 – 20, 2019.

Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann along with Oteil Burbridge, Jeff Chimenti and John Mayer first teamed with CID to present the inaugural installment of Playing In The Sand earlier this year. Dead & Company will play three full shows at host resort The Barceló Maya over the course of the event. Attendees can stay at one of nine hand-picked resorts including The Barceló Maya as well as Secrets Akumal, Dreams Tulum, The Hard Rock Hotel, Unico, Rosewood Mayakoba, Banyan Tree Mayakoba and Fairmount Mayakoba Properties.

Daytime activities and off-site adventures during Playing In The Sand for Deadheads include ATV’s, Ziplines, Golf, Catamaran trips, or exploring the nearby historic towns of Tulum and Playa del Carmen. On-site activities include lounging at the poor or beach, yoga, beer and tequila tastings, bowling and surfing. All packages will receive access to all three concerts, all-inclusive food and drink, premium resort accommodations, official merchandise, shuttle service to and from Cancun International Airport; as well as, a 24-hour concierge service.

Tickets for Playing in the Sand 2019 go on sale August 22 at 1 pm ET. Fans who attended the inaugural event will have access to an alumni-only pre-sale beginning August 20 at 1 pm ET. First-time fans can also sign up now to gain early access to packages on August 21.
