[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion is set to present their first formal event in Austin, TX during SXSW in partnership with Harley-Davidson and Sailor Jerry. For three days from March 14-16, SXSW attendees can enjoy 24 musical showcases presented by music publishers including Relix, Brooklyn Vegan, This Song Is Sick and Consequence of Sound. This Song Is Sick is curating the night party on Wednesday March 13th at Austin’s Scoot Inn starting at 8pm and ending at 12am featuring an amazing lineup of music guest including a DJ set from Classixx as well as a live set from Louis Futon. Following premieres from both talented rising artists, we also have funky vocalist/production duo Party Pupils and indie R&B artist Noah Slee.
These 24 unique showcases reflect the variety of music Brooklyn Bowl and Peter Shapiro brings to the world. In addition to the impressive roster of musical guests, Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion is planning a celebration of the music of Jerry Garcia which features performances by Nicole Atkins, Billy Strings, Texas Gentlemen, Rayland Baxter, Christopher Porterfield (Field Report,) Erika Wennerstrom (Heartless Bastards,) and many others on the eve of Cats Under the Stars’s 40th anniversary. Additionally, the family reunion will feature a documentary King Of The Roadies highlighting accomplishments of Ben Dorcy lll, who’s considered to be the OG roadie. Speaking of roadies, the Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion’s Roadie Lounge will give back to the hardworking people essential to making each show happen, both the bands and their crew. Welcoming artists, stagehands, lighting operators, tour managers, instrument techs, and everyone else deemed a “Roadie,” —the Roadie Lounge will provide a much needed recharge to help power through SXSW. Roadie Lounge guests will get to enjoy cold brew from High Brew Coffee, accessories from D’addario, and the opportunity to demo the latest gear from Supro, Korg, Shure, and more.
