ELTON JOHN TRIBUTE ALBUMS “Revamp” & “Restoration”
Two new Elton John tribute LPs arrive this week: “Revamp” featuring pop and rock-oriented artists & “Restoration” composed of country-style covers. This week Elton John is being honored with not one, but two new tribute albums. One is called “Revamp” and finds pop and rock-oriented artists tackling the piano legend; the other, titled Restoration, consists of country-style covers. Both are streaming below via Apple Music and Spotify. Elton himself curated all of Revamp, which features Mumford and Sons, Florence and the Machine, Coldplay, Q Tip with Demi Lovato, The Killers, and Queens of the Stone Age. There are also contributions from Mary J. Blige, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, Pink and Logic, Sam Smith, and Alessia Cara.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”4703″ img_size=”300×300″ alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://fangeist.com/album/revamp/”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”4701″ img_size=”300×300″ alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://fangeist.com/album/restoration/”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_btn title=”Listen to Revamp” color=”success” align=”center” i_align=”right” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-arrow-right” add_icon=”true” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Ffangeist.com%2Falbum%2Frevamp%2F|||”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_btn title=”Listen to Restoration” color=”success” align=”center” i_align=”right” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-arrow-right” add_icon=”true” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Ffangeist.com%2Falbum%2Frestoration%2F|||”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_separator color=”chino”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4721″ img_size=”200×200″ onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://fangeist.com/album/renewable-energy/”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]
THE NEW MASTERSOUNDS “Renewable Energy”
Recorded in two separate sessions, one in New Orleans and the other in Denver a few months later, “Renewable Energy” expands on The New Mastersounds template while still providing plenty of the band’s trademark sounds. Guitarist Eddie Roberts, drummer Simon Allen, bassist Pete Shand and keyboardist Joe Tatton are joined on this 11-track effort by a number of guests: Sam Bell, one of the founding members of NMS precursor The Mastersounds who also guested on two previous NMS albums plays percussion on most of the tracks.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Listen to Album” color=”success” i_align=”right” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-arrow-right” add_icon=”true” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Ffangeist.com%2Falbum%2Frenewable-energy%2F|||”][vc_separator color=”chino”][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4773″ img_size=”200×200″ onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://fangeist.com/song/the-rage/”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]
KID CUDI “The Rage”
Kid Cudi is back with a new song “The Rage” Sampling Smashing Pumpkins. It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from one of our favorites but he’s returned to form and obvious swagger with a new single “The Rage” off the soundtrack for Rampage. The movie stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and he is responsible for this song as the first Kid Cudi release we’ve heard in a while, following up his album “Passion Pain & Demon Slayin’” which heard the rapper return to form, much to our pleasure. The song samples Smashing Pumpkins’ ” “Bullet With Butterfly Wings.” Stream the song below and enjoy![/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Listen to Song” color=”success” i_align=”right” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-arrow-right” add_icon=”true” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Ffangeist.com%2Fsong%2Fthe-rage%2F|||”][vc_separator color=”chino”][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4715″ img_size=”200×200″ onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://fangeist.com/album/the-artscience-remixes/”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]
ROBERT GLASPER X KAYTRANADA “The Artscience Remixes”
Just a few weeks back Kaytranada made the exciting announcement he’d be sharing a new EP remixing Robert Glasper’s The Artscience EP. The project is here and in full effect! We couldn’t be more excited to have some new music from one of our favorite artists. Robert Glasper is a legendary pianist who has worked with artists like new Pulitzer Prize winner Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, Anderson .Paak, Banks, Q-Tip and more.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Listen to Album” color=”success” i_align=”right” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-arrow-right” add_icon=”true” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Ffangeist.com%2Falbum%2Fthe-artscience-remixes%2F|||”][vc_separator color=”chino”][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4718″ img_size=”200×200″ onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://fangeist.com/song/do-we-have-a-problem/”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]
KAYTRANADA “Do We Have A Problem (Demo)”
Kaytranada has been active lately and has now uploaded a fresh new demo “Do We Have A Problem.” Just in the past couple weeks, he teamed up with MF DOOM co-producing Bishop Nehru’s recent album “Elevators: Act 1” He also recently said he went back to making trap so we can’t wait to hear what that’s like. This new demo brings the signature, smooth Kaytranada vibe we love. Enjoy![/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Listen to Song” color=”success” i_align=”right” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-arrow-right” add_icon=”true” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Ffangeist.com%2Fsong%2Fdo-we-have-a-problem%2F|||”][vc_separator color=”chino”][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”4767″ img_size=”200×200″ onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://open.spotify.com/embed/track/5E6OLr4UXmC578iprZr7Fs”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]
REZZ remix of The Glitch Mob’s “I Could Be Anything”
With The Glitch Mob’s first album in years right around the corner, they’ve enlisted none other than REZZ to take on the remix duties of their latest single “I Could Be Anything” alongside Elohim. It’s been a little bit since we’ve heard new music from REZZ and this is just what we’d want from a remix taking on The Glitch Mob.
The Glitch Mob have returned to form nicely with their string of new releases, and when finding remix artists, they really couldn’t have found a better fit than REZZ. REZZ has a knack for sound design putting her in the upper echelon of producers and her sound has some close similarities to Glitch Mob, so she naturally rose to the occasion and did not disappoint on this one. Stream the song below and enjoy! L.A. SALAMI “The City of Bootmakers”
L.A. Salami’s newest album, “The City Of Bootmakers,” edges slightly out of the folk territory and more into rock, with flourishes of organ coloring the soundscape, and peppy beats giving a buoyancy to his garrulous lines. Because of, or quite possibly in spite of, the kaleidoscope of these songs, Salami advises listeners to take on the new record with space to find their clarity, or just enjoy them.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Listen to Album” color=”success” i_align=”right” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-arrow-right” add_icon=”true” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Ffangeist.com%2Falbum%2Fthe-city-of-bootmakers%2F|||”][vc_separator color=”chino”][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
