On Saturday night, country music icon Willie Nelson headlined a free concert in Austin for Texas Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke. In addition to some of his classic hits like “On The Road Again“, Nelson debuted a new song entitled “Vote ‘Em Out.” Before he started the politically-driven song which is a call to action against candidates voters dislike, Nelson said “Here’s a new song we’re going to spring on y’all tonight. Take it home with you, spread it around.”
With his legendary guitar Trigger in hand, signature red bandanna and T-shirt emblazoned with ‘Beto for Senate’, Nelson encouraged the crowd to join in and sing along with his new song “Vote ‘Em Out.”
“If you don’t like who’s in there, vote ’em out / that’s what Election Day is all about / and the biggest gun we got / is called the ballot box / if you don’t like who’s in there / vote ’em out.”
Beto O’Rourke is the Democratic candidate hoping to unseat Ted Cruz from his senate seat.
