Eric Krasno just announced his first show for his new band, The E3 Organ Trio featuring 3 Eric’s – Eric Krasno (guitar), Eric Kalb (drums) and Eric Finland (organ) on Thursday, May 31st at Rockwood Music Hall at 10 PM.
Eric Krasno is a 2x Grammy-winning guitarist, multi-instrumental musician & producer best known for his work with Soulive, Lettuce, Tedeschi Trucks Band & Pretty Lights. For nearly two decades, Eric Krasno has been an omnipresent figure in popular music. We’ve heard his virtuosic, innovative guitar playing with Soulive and Lettuce (both of which he co-founded), seen him onstage supporting the likes of the Rolling Stones, Dave Mathews Band, John Mayer and The Roots, watched him take home multiple GRAMMY Awards, and benefited from his deft, behind-the-scenes work as a producer and songwriter for everyone from Norah Jones, Tedeschi Trucks, and 50 Cent to Talib Kweli, Aaron Neville, and Allen Stone. Krasno’s recent solo album, ‘Blood From A Stone,’ reveals a previously unknown and utterly compelling side of his artistry, though, inviting us to bear witness as he both literally and metaphorically finds his voice.
The E3 Organ Trio was born out of Eric Krasno’s love of soul/jazz and organ funk of the 60s and 70s. He decided to join forces with Eric Kalb and Eric Finland. Eric Kalb is an established NYC drummer who plays with Eric in the Eric Krasno Band. Eric Kalb has been on the scene for many years playing with such greats like John Scofield, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Charlie Hunter and The Greyboy AllStars.
Eric Finland is a NYC based keyboardist specializing in the B3 Hammond organ. Eric Finland studied at the Berklee College of Music and has had the honor of sharing the stage with Greg Allman, Michael McDonald, George Clinton, Ian Hendrickson-Smith, Scott Sharrard, Paul Shaffer and many more. He is also a music director for multiple projects.
This is the first time these 3 awesome Eric’s are playing together in public for the first time under The E3 Organ Trio moniker.
