Watch John Mayer Join Leon Bridges in LA

John Mayer with Dead and Company June NY show Citi Field

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]At The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, up and coming soul singer Leon Bridges continued his extensive tour in support of Good Thing. Bridges surprised the audience and brought out guitarist and his labelmate John Mayer to sit in for a couple of tunes.

The first collaboration came when Bridges and his backing band were joined by Mayer—who apparently came dressed in his pajamas—for Bridges’ ballad “Mrs.” off Good Thing album. John played a few masterful bluesy solos on his Paul Reed Smith. The guitarist also added accents and colors to the song while soul crooner Leon Bridges belted out his lyrics to the ballad. Additionally, for the encore, the Dead & Company guitarist emerged for “Mississippi Kisses” off his 2015 debut Coming HomeBridges introduced members of his band and Mayer as the guitarist took another pair of screaming solos. Bridges then asked the audience if they “got their monies worth tonight” and received an audacious response.
